Please be patient while graphics are loading!Watch out for the snowballs! Enjoy!
The first snowfall was such a glorious site! I can still remember looking out the window so excited...thinking of all the fun we will have! My Mom would always, without failure.. on every first snowfall... lift up the window, take a handful of snow tell my two brothers, my sister and me to smile..... She then would rub the snow on our cheeks and say.... "Now you will always have nice rosey cheeks" Well after playing out in the snow all afternoon they certainly were "rosey"... LOL Love you! Miss you, Ma! ~ © Star Dreamer Memories~

The sleds were out and we were ready to go! All the kids in the neighborhood were all ready. Snowballs were lined up on each side of the street! The attack began......Wow, Gotcha! Get those snowballs rolling! Gotcha! What fun we all had! We then started our sledding down the hill... which was next to our friend's house. There were not many places to go sledding in our neighborhood unless we went to the park. This place was the best ever for us kids. I can still remember falling off the sled into the snow bank... and then the race to see who got up first for another turn. How come those big kids always got there first? LOL The day went by way too fast... Mom would call out for us, time to come home! We were frozen....boy, that hot chocolate and sitting in front of the heated stove felt so, so good! Warm and cozy! ~ © Star Dreamer Memories~
~Winter Wonderland~ ~Dick Smith, Felix Bernard 1934~ Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, in the lane, snow is glistening A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland. Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is a new bird He sings a love song, as we go along, walking in a winter wonderland. In the meadow we can build a snowman, Then pretend that he is Parson Brown He'll say: Are you married? we'll say: No man, But you can do the job when you're in town. Later on, we'll conspire, as we dream by the fire To face unafraid, the plans that we've made, walking in a winter wonderland. In the meadow we can build a snowman, and pretend that he's a circus clown We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman, until the other kiddies knock him down. When it snows, ain't it thrilling, Though your nose gets a chilling We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way, walking in a winter wonderland. Walking in a winter wonderland, walking in a winter wonderland.
